Jessica is a Third Culture Individual (TCI) whose parents served (well, one is still currently serving) in the Foreign Service. As a result, she was exposed to various cultures (India, Costa Rica and Ivory Coast are all wildly different!), customs and school systems before coming back to the United States. She graduated from an International Baccalaureate school in Lima, Peru with an IB Diploma. Jessica has over 10 years of experience working with students of all ages in classroom settings in the Maryland and DC area.
Jessica's current projects include positions as the Director of SAT/ACT Reading Programs at Loudoun Test Prep in Ashburn, VA, (where she has developed and implemented a comprehensive approach for students that attend SAT Classes there), and supporting an amazing program for aspiring Elementary Education A.A.T. Majors at Montgomery College School of Education as its Elementary Mathematics and PRAXIS Math Specialist.
When Jessica is not volunteering, spending time with her six and three year old daughters, or being an avid trivia enthusiast, she is working towards completing combined degrees: a B.A. in Mathematics, an M.Ed program in Mathematics Education, and an MA/MPS in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. She also holds a B.A. in Psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and an A.A. in Integrated Studies with heavy emphasis on Mathematics and Psychology from Montgomery College. Jessica lives in Gaithersburg with her husband, their two daughters and their faithful rescue dogs, Marley and Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
